The Orchard Park Central School District will host Discussing Nutrition with Students & Student Athletes, a community presentation led by Marie Bieber, Registered Dietitian and Owner of Pearls of Nutrition. This event is part of the District’s ongoing Community Engagement Series and is designed to support families and educators in fostering healthy, balanced conversations about nutrition.

The presentation will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Orchard Park Middle School. The event is free and open to the public.

This informative session will provide parents, caregivers, educators, coaches and students with practical strategies for discussing nutrition in ways that promote students’ physical health, athletic performance, and mental well-being. Special attention will be given to using supportive, age-appropriate language and avoiding messaging that may unintentionally contribute to disordered eating. Participants will also explore how nutrition education can affect vulnerable students and learn how to reinforce positive, balanced messages both at home and within school environments.

The session will be led by Marie Bieber, a Registered Dietitian and owner of Pearls of Nutrition, a Rochester-based group practice. She holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Nutrition, completed her dietetic internship at West Virginia University Healthcare, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. Her professional background includes work in eating disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, pediatrics, and geriatric nutrition.

This event offers a valuable opportunity for the Orchard Park community to engage in an important conversation about nutrition and student well-being. Attendees will gain evidence-based insights and practical tools to help support healthy relationships with food, strengthen athletic performance, and promote positive, balanced messaging for children and adolescents both in and out of school.
